Novato is a ‘city’ in Marin County. It is about 35 minutes from SF, and people have traditionally liked to retire here. Quite appropriately the Buck Institute for research on Aging (where I work) is located here. I used watersoluble color pencils and some ink-pens for these sketches.

I am so glad you like it Charlie. I am using washes a lot more in my drawings now… you might say its the doodlewash influence.
